These are the featured songwriters in the new Lynn Frances Anderson Songwriter Series, launching April 23rd at Strum.

Haley Johnsen:

Singer-songwriter Haley Johnsen released her debut project, Golden Days, in May 2019. Haley refuses to fit into just one box. Her work is inspired by artists like Brandi Carlile, Heart, and Grace Potter, and her collaboration with Allen Stone on her most streamed song “Weekend” exemplifies this genre bender’s variety and depth. Haley’s introspective songwriting quarries around the humors and heartaches of the human condition. It’s not unusual to have a joyfully cathartic experience from a Haley Johnsen show.

During 2017 and 2018, Haley toured as an opener for Sawyer Fredericks and as lead support for The Wind and The Wave across the United States. Haley perfromed her first headline tour of Europe in 2019 and served as direct support for the band, Joseph, in a US tour. Haley currently runs her own band and tours with with electronic artist and producer, Big Wild, as his bass player and backup vocalist. Haley is in the midst of planning her second headlining tour across Europe to support Golden Days and more upcoming releases in Jan/Feb 2020.

Mary Curtis:

The inimitable Mary Curtis is an entertainer! She is best-known in country music circles in the northwest as the Queen of Country Music and a drummer’s dream rhythm guitar player. To blues artists, Mary is known as a MEAN harp player. (She played harmonica and acoustic guitar on  Beautiful Morning.) Mary’s songwriting is delicate, thoughtful, personal and inspiring. It is only now, after decades in the world of music, that Mary is bringing her deeply personal songs to the public. This is a VERY rare treat to hear Mary’s songs live.

Tracy Klas:

Tracy Klas is an award-winning songwriter and performer who has played countless festivals along the U.S. West Coast. Tracy’s original songs have been placed in major and independent films for New Line Cinema and Indie film companies.
Tracy is a unique talent. Her live performances unveil her dynamic and genuine presence, joyful charisma and the artistry of her songwriting. Her powerful, edgy voice with her uniquely well-crafted songwriting gives her mainstream accessibility, and a fresh, yet relatable, sound.
